The trouble with …

… turning off one’s mobile phone in the evening, is when one forgets to turn it back on in the morning, and misses what might be important calls.

Grrr …

The statistical likelihood of that is far lower than that of missing a spam call.  But then I won’t necessarily know the missed call was unwanted without spending time and effort on it.

Grrr …

This morning I don’t appear to have missed any.  So I can waste time blogging about it instead of faffing about with messages.

  1. Niq,

Could you not just make it silent instead. That way you wont neccesarily be disturbed by annoying spam calls, but if you do have missed calls you can review the call log?

Or is that just to easy? 🙂

  2. Silent is worse. Apart from consuming power and emitting radiation, it means anyone calling will get the ring tone rather than an immediate indication that I’m not about to answer.

  3. Nokia 6130 has a really nice feature with timed profiles – switching between two at a preset time – very handy when you’re on call at night, but plan to sleep afterwards without getting up to turn off the phone😉
