Multiseason colours

The weather has changed, to something with a hint of winter. That is to say, bright, sunny and beautifully clear days, and much colder than any time since the spring. Only borderline-suitable for shorts and T-shirt, and I shall take an extra layer this evening in case I find myself having to wait around in the outdoors.

Went out briefly on the bike this afternoon. In the beautifully clear air, I got a panorama of late autumn colours: the usual mix of green, brown, golden, red. Among them lot of beautiful red berries some of which I don’t recognise, but which look very seasonal.

But wait! What are those flowers doing? We still have strong reminders of summer: flowers of bloomin’ August, and a gorgeous red blossom that I think should be out in springtime!

Good Grief!
